LOOKING FOR A FANTASTIC SUMMER EXPERIENCE?

You have come to the right place! Amigos de las Américas (AMIGOS) is an international, not-for-profit organization with more than 30 chapters across the United States that provides unparalleled leadership and community service opportunities for young people while concurrently contributing to the well-being of hundreds of communities throughout the Americas.

Since its founding in 1965, more than 20,000 high school and college-age students have served as AMIGOS Volunteers.  Volunteers live with a host family and are immersed in the Spanish language and Latin American culture.  Through their training and service experience they gain life-changing insights about other cultures, effective civic engagement and their personal potential.

AMIGOS gives young people an extraordinary opportunity to rise to the challenge of independently managing great responsibility within multicultural settings.  Extensive training programs teach youth valuable skills, such as how to build effective teams to foster sustainable community improvements.

The Salt Lake Chapter of Amigos has been in place since 2002.  During our short history, we have went over 60 Amigos volunteers on summer projects in Latin America. To apply through our chapter or for additional information, please contact:
